@CaedenV faster 'inertia' - llight weight modern building have less mass and response faster... a major factor when calculating the system design and the building/system response character - say once you return home and ask for 'comfort' from an off or standby condition of the system.

Language is important... white roofs don NOT absorb less heat - they reflect more heat. their absorption properties due to mass are not affected by a coat of paint - white or otherwise. I expect more from this channel.

Wash when I get up, ensure that the room thermostat is set as high in summer as if possible, so 30C, and set the 'AC' system to fan only... it is still less than 50C outside at sun rise, so easy still.

And having been involved with building design from HK, Singapore, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, KAS, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland and the UK... "Architects and engineers say this aesthetic is popular because it's perceived as sleek, modern and lets in natural light. Changing that would require more rigorous building regulations around energy efficiency."... clients need to brief their professional teams to go beyond simple 'national' regulations. And many do... and few get credit for do so. And no need to demonise 'glass' either. Glass is often the best solution for a replaceable and cleanable facarde skin... what is behind the glass is just as important. And glass is one of the more recyclable materials going... so don't demonise glass.
