  1. The UN isn't concerned about trapped civilians at Deir al Zor but is trying to delay the advance of the Assad forces because what this will mean for Iranian influence in the region. They (mostly America) hoped it would have been impossible for quite a while jet to come to this stage and also hoped that the US backed Kurds would beat the Assad government forces there so Iranian back groups like Hezbollha wouldn't be able and in the position to be very influential at the Battle for Der al Zor especially in the aftermath. Now with this development Iran will have more influence in the entire region by connecting several area's though their huge presence at the battlefield in Der al Zor, thwarting any and all attempts from the USA and some other regional partners to dislodge them and to downgrade Iran's status as a serious regional power. This move of the UN has the USA written all over it. #keepingItReal Funny you didn't report that side of the story "Euro" news ?!
