  1. Submarines in theory should survive the first wave of strikes that allows them to retaliate in turn. Though naval kamikaze drones should also be considered as a cheap and easy defense option.

  2. Do wonder if taiwan will start investing into naval kamikaze drones, as seen with ukraine they are cheap to make and don't require alot of manpower to use whilst dealing heavy damage to any vessel they end up hitting.

  3. Naval kamikaze drones currently seem like the future of naval warfare, currently theres very little defense against them. Imagine if taiwan could field hundreads or thousands of small 500kg warhead naval drones against china, there is potential to do serious damage to the chinese fleet and if they can't hit the fleet they can cripple trade by making the chinese ports unsafe for civilian vessels. Like ukraine is doing now in the black sea.

Air drones are prone to electronic warfare jamming but sea drones currently don't have any major counter other than a few dudes with a machine gun with how small in the water they are and they currently carry a 500 kg warhead that can heavily damage vessels enough to force them back to drydock.

  7. hitting the dam would be more difficult. hitting the drydocks and port around southern china however would do a great amount of damage to chinese econemy, more so when combined with naval drone strikes on vessels that can cripple trade due inability to get insurance.

  8. There is air defense, we don't know how good chinese air defense systems are but gotta assume better than russia at minimum.

  9. There is a chance those missiles won't all hit or sink targets due to various reasons like defensive weapons and manfulctions. Think taiwan should grab a page from ukraine's playbook and look into naval kamikaze drones to be an alternative option incase they lack missiles.
