There's also the explanation that many countries in the West are just eating more (obesity has been rising) - plus, at least in the US, 1/3 of the food that is bought gets thrown out (high wastage of food). Or yes, it could just be that there's likely 100 million ppl in the UK. I wish that was not true.

Besides, I know several women who have given birth multiple times and they haven’t let themselves get like that. And finally- obesity is never just about genetics. If the obesity is due to some sort of disability, then I might have some sympathy, but as long as someone is able to exercise, nobody is force feeding them.
