Thing is Ukraine is in a catch 22 it seems, they only have the resources either do one of two things: either do an all out offensive but leave the Russians advances uncontested and unreinforced against, or divert those assets to hold of the new Russian offensives but as a result do little to no advancing of their own in a large offensive. Ukraine also I think has time against them as well. I do think in time NATO's support might slow down and start to become withdrawn as the costs rise and public unrest gets worse in their countries from other problems plaguing them at the moment. And it does seem NATO is starting to run low on certain supplies and vehicles to provide Ukraine as well. Ukraine's best chance now might be an all out no matter the cost offensive to win some points in a possible future settlement, and then try to treaty with Russia before Ukraine get too exhausted. It's not the greatest position but it might be their best shot to still hold some weight in any talks held. Or they realign their defensive lines, and start to cede land and focus on defending more defensible terrain deeper inside Ukraine. Maybe even possibly The Dnieper river in the worst case and begin building strongpoints around the River sides to defend the core of Ukraine. Ukraine needs to begin thinking of ending this war while it has some bargaining power left, NATO and USA would just want them to keeping fighting till Ukraine has nothing left but burned out homes, just to spite Russia. NATO does not give two Fs about Ukraine in reality. Their just another pawn/proxy in NATO never ending games with Russia. But I do think as time ticks on Russia grows stronger in this war, while Ukraine weakens.

A well upgraded up to date T-72 can still kill most other tanks and other vehicles on the field. People say T-72s are weak and old clearly never looked at their own militaries equipment then, most MBTs are over 30-40 years old easily in terms of models.

Well NATO training is a very loaded term, since many NATO members don't have similar training either. There is a huge difference between NATO members training quality and the popular image of the training is of members like: USA, France, UK, Germany and Poland for example. But many other members training is not so great or amazing either. And NATO's other dark problem is the fact that well NATO has no really trained or prepared for such a huge war in decades to be honest, especially not against an opponent of Russia's or China's scale. The training is mostly focused on fighting until recently on fighting weaker opponents like those found in the middle east, or rebel/terrorists group lacking heavy weapons or AA systems. NATO also had a bad habit of rigging wargames and scenarios to fit their desired conditions rather than realistic conditions. The USA was infamous for creating certain wargame scenarios where the enemy was made incompetent, inferior and every time some flaw was found in the USA way of fighting the enemy was not allowed to exploit it. There are only two countries with any real huge war experience honestly: Ukraine and Russia.
