  1. I blame General Tommy Franks. He was told Bin Laden was at Tora Bora. Franks failed to act decisively on that information and make sure Bin Laden did not get out. I am convinced that is the true reason we felt compelled to stay in Afghanistan. Which was an impossible mission.

  3. @RuDuffEnough WellRu That is because Franks failed to understand, the battle of Tora Bora was ours to fight. There were no Taliban at Tora Bora—it was our enemy Al Qaeda. There were forces available to surround the area. Delta operators were screaming for the Rangers or the Marines. No one came.
