Better to be in a city during a bombardment with all kinds of underground structures, than an open field trenchline or bunker.

@PrivateTouch That is a highly imprecise statement, as there are many factors involved. For instance, the most sophisticated bunkers are totally immune from the blast, heat and/or anoxic effects of either a thermobaric or fuel air explosive type weapon, because they have their own air supply.

@Teney Most buildings don't collapse like they do in controlled demolitions from the effects of bombs and artillery shells. And the substructures often survive intact. Really tall buildings excepted.
