What he is actually saying: 'we are hopelessly out-numbered and surrounded, and we are not prepared to lose our lives, so we will surrender by saying we are prepared to negotiate.' Is it any wonder the Taliban won. They are intolerant, murderous thugs--but they are prepared to die for their cause.
