I am not happy about how my country left Afghanistan and the region. BUT one of the few upsides is no more aid to Pakistan.

iTs Messiah We better not be. I don’t want anothercent of my tax dollars going to the country who helped kill our soldiers and those of our international partners.

@KB-pk8cn For all their celebrations of the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan—the Pakistani’s have failed to preceive where all their double dealing will lead in the end. Because there is no more infidel power in the region to point fingers at and use as a whipping post for their own failures. And already Taliban style radicals are gunning to take down the Pakistani state itself. And I agree with you about Afghanistan. The analogy I would use is the Afghan state/security forces was like one of those inflatable balloon guys you see at car dealerships in the USA. Cut the power, the blower shuts down and the balloon guy instantly deflates. That was the signal sent when we decided to end our involvement in Afghanistan.

Raymond Lee NO MORE US AID TO PAKISTAN!

@DP_Singh. Why not Trump? Let me count the reasons: he is a congenital lier, a toxic narcissist, a total incompetent, thoroughly corrupt, mean spirited, and he tried to stage the first coup in American history after he lost the election. Is that enough reasons for you?
9
@goldenbrown3283 It was worse than that even. According to Hamid Gul the late former ISI chief, the Pakistani’s were transferring US aid to support the Taliban. In other words in a sense they were helping to kill our soldiers and undermine the mission using our own money against us.

@dhawalanand4013 China is welcome to it. Let it be their headache now. Maybe they will have to explain their treatment of the Uighurs first though.
7
@amazingamx1255 It’s never too late to recover our self respect. After all we got rid of Trump. And his election was one of our countries’ worst mistakes ever.
5
@ajinkyapose1619 They still deny it to the world to appear to remain respectable, but in private they cheer and celebrate the success of their support to the Taliban.

@azharsiddiqui9639 I appreciate your perspective. I just wish my country knew that 20 years ago. It would have saved a lot of trouble.
4
@aray1312 Correct.

@goldenbrown3283 With all due respect the British do not run Pakistan today. The Army/ISI run Pakistan. More to the detriment of the Pakistani people and the Afghan people as well.

@hikingviking859 I am a real life American. Believe it.
3
@karsan6018 I deeply ashamed to admit it, but you are right.

@harmony3138 Where and what are these offensive/abusive names and pictures you are referring to?

@jmoney1410 I voted for Hillary in 2016 and Joe in 2020. The alternative was the worst person ever conceived. You would know that if you turned off Fox News for a day.

Raymond Lee Thank you for saying that.

@chilledoutfela The aid also went for building more Pakistani nuclear bombs (which it was not intended to do).

@channi58 We didn’t side against India. We needed Pakistan to access Afghanistan. We could not go through Iran. The inexplicable thing is why it took so long to understand that Pakistan was double dealing us and continuing to support the Taliban. And then when we understood what the Pakistani’s were actually doing, why we still supported them thereafter. I primarily blame our State Department and the CIA who believed we needed Pakistan to fight the war on terror. When the real irony was we were supporting a terrorist state.
2
@channi58 Why? Al Qaeda was in Pakistan, and the CIA needed the help of the ISI (which weren’t very helpful) to get the terrorists. Our military failed until much later to build an alternative supply route through central asia, so that only left the routes through Pakistan. And our State Department is always so naively optimist about talking other countries into good behavior (which hardly ever works). Beyond that I don’t know? Maybe the Pakistani’s had some deep dark secret that would embarress the US if revealed.
2
@jcwljs1246 Because they provide safe haven and support to terrorist groups.

@DP_Singh. Excuse me...but my Momma told me not to talk to trolls.

@DP_Singh. You aren't even American why do care?

@abhishekrana7986 Could you be more specific?
1
@mayanksingh1345 Me too.

Kiku Prasana Thank you. I am happy.

@anishmaitra5934 Yes. One of the very few right things he did. But it does not make up for all the enormous number of wrong things he did.
1
@anishmaitra5934 Except for his handling of Afghanistan, good old Joe has done ok by me.
1
@direwolf7491 Sanctions?
1
@radhakrishnamohanty3807 It’s wasn’t 80 billion, but I understand your point.
1
@RealisiticEdgeMod Very true.
1
@Shehzadkhan-ut5hg You are delusional. We left because trying to create a stable, moderate republic in Afghanistan was unbelievably difficult. If we were obstinate we could have stayed for as long as we liked, with our air power we could have smashed every serious Taliban offensive they undertook. And you have the wrong flag there Bozo.

@anant1985 All of south asia can FRO, including India (Russia's BBF).

@fatemad4012 I don't understand your question?
