OK, the inevitable question arises. Could the 30 degree mounts as on Queen Elizabeth also fire supercharges and if they could, to what range

I like the her looks - especially the funnel cap - very balanced design

HMS Revenge - look up the history of the name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_ship_Revenge_(1577)

@brendonbewersdorf986 As Drach has pointed out in an entire video, discussions of 1 on 1 duels between ships is wrong headed. Particularly battleships - the very definition of a fleet member.

@chrissouthgate4554 No, it's funded by the taxpayers. The government has no money of its own, just the peoples' - Charles I forgot that and had his head handed to him by Parliament (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_money)

@davidpope3943 Found the answer to my question as whether the super charge was ever used with 30 degree mount and the answer is no. "However, from a study of the records, it would appear that no ship ever fired a shot using Super Charges, although they were used by the coastal artillery at Dover. Super Charges were not issued to ships with 30 degree mountings as the increased barrel wear and mounting stress was not considered to be acceptable."

They were working on Turbocharging

Yes, it did. Consider the alternative. A would be absolute despot and a psychotic madman dominating Europe. How long do you think Britain would avoid being under their heel....

@QuizmasterLaw Which ships and what country. Were they upgraded or changed from their "as built" configuration in the RN, USN and IJN, yes. But what do you expect with 20 years of technological advances (Radar, Propulsion, Aircraft, etc)

@johnshepherd8687 Tell Admirals Oldendorf and Cunningham they didn't have enough battlewagons to form a battle line at Surigao Strait and Matapan

@johnshepherd8687 Thinking about it bot more there was only 1 on 1 capital ship duel in history, North Cape. Although even there, Duke of York was operating as part of a task force that contributed markedly to the destruction of Scharnhorst. All of these were 2 vs 1 - Denmark Strait, Second Guadalcanal, Sinking of Bismarck.
