I am from South ; I remember in those days we have been asked to eat Corn and make stuff using corn fluor ; Our family was not liking the stuff change all of a sudden as we were fond rice eaters and rice was not available ; Now we are discussing Rice and wheat surplus and storage problem ; ( I understand loss is around 90,000 Crores on an average per year ; I am not sure ) ; Govt should stock only PDS needs is a good suggestion by the committee ;

  5.  @akd480  Quite unfortunate , if it happens ; The argument suits if free market exists ; In case of starvation due to war , No rule is applicable ; India can help the world by instant supply of rice / wheat and earn goodwill like earlier vaccine diplomacy ; India is never a fraudster to make money at others penury ;
