"The fallacy of relative privation (A.K.A. The "starving children in Africa" argument) asserts that if something happening elsewhere is worse than the problem currently being discussed, then problem currently being discussed isn't that important at all, so shut up. It's popular with people who know perfectly well they're doing something wrong. Since they are fully aware that they're doing something wrong, they feel compelled to attempt to justify it and do so by pointing to other (usually worse) actions."

@rockjohnson9110 Do you realize how insane you folks look? Just as "insane" as when we had the ridiculous notion that two people with the same genitals could fall in love and should have the right to get married, right?

Yup, still spouting the same homophobic rhetoric and fallacies as they have been 70+ years, no facts or logic.

@mburikiama813 First, being LGBTQ+ is not considered mental illness any more (as per the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). Second, being different does not affect you in any way.

You remind me of this guy who called into a radio show hosted by a gay guy who tried to argue that homophobia didn't exist. It ended with guy screaming "Your kind faces absolutely no discrimination at all, you stupid f*******!"
