You've clearly been given a censored version of history. MLK advocated for reparations in several of his uncut speeches.

@1958PonyBoy No we wouldn't. Yes, you would. You know how reactionary media depcited the civil rights marchers? As rioting looting murders who were burning down cities. SOUND FAMILIAR?

Yes, because forgetting someone's name is far worse than trying to rewrite and erase history. (If you couldn't tell, that was sarcasm.)

So basically the modern United Daughters of the Confederacy?

@1958PonyBoy And how long ago was that? Almost 60 years? And yet it's still the go to portrayal of any form of Civil Rights demonstration by reactionary right's disinformation factories, as you demonstrate here: _The media today ignores looting, murdering and burning down of businesses. The summer of 2020 was a textbook example of that._ Odd how this version of events always seems to conveniently leave out that rioting didn't start until the Trump administration sent their stormtroopers to attack peaceful protesters in order to try to scare protesters into stopping what they were doing. Odd how only the far-right media claims dozens of people were killed. Odd how they claim entire cities were burnt to the ground, yet the cities were standing after the protest. Very odd indeed, but i'm sure that fact that right-wing media outlets have very fine people connected to groups like Atomwaffen Division or The Daily Stormer working in positions like journalism doesn't reflect any sort of bias or agenda on their part that would cause them to, I don't know, lie about stuff like that. No sir.

@Orko99900 Why is it every time Republicans hold rallies, a swarms of white people decked in Confederate memorabilia inevitably show up to voice their support for the party? Why is it Republicans have fought tooth and nail to keep up monuments erected by the KKK to intended portray the Confederacy as heroes and slavery as a good thing? The Republican party is desperately trying to bury the fact that Nixon invited the disenfranchised Dixiecrats into the big tent so he could secure the large amount of electoral collage votes in the deep south and hoping no one notices massive holes in their attempt to deny and erase history like the ones I mentioned above.
