Because the far-right is that fragile to anyone who tells them they're wrong.
3
@X2LR8 No. Just science denialism.
3
Because the right-wing runs on perception filters, which cause them to be selectively blind to Transmen in sports.
3
Transwomen* Just because the right doesn't lives in a perception-filtered world doesn't mean everyone else need to as well.
2
Ana, why is it that so few people on the left feel at ease enough to "Have an honest conversation"? Becuase it's been tried, but Anti-Trans reactionaries have shown they'd rather just make stuff up and ignore facts.
2
@X2LR8 You're being fed a manufactured threat narrative. The "Brute in a dress harming women" is the cousin of the old racist "Black brute harming white women" narrative used by segregationists.
2
It's punching down on marginalized people
2
Yup, reminds me of the response video uploaded by the malding guy who had that whole Starfield pronouns meltdown on stream after the internet mocked him for it. "I'm not triggered, YOU ARE!!! 🤬ðŸ˜ðŸ¤¬"
2
@LethalOwl Says the people who lose it live on video over stuff "Going woke". Pot meet kettle.
2
Except it wasn't, as you know. Your dislike of an answered based not on facts, but hate doesn't make them true.
2
No it presents a "Brute in a dress" caricature, and being trans isn't an ideology. Being a far-right however, is.
2
@MikeMW87 Except not in reality. The "Brute in a dress" is just the transphobic version of the "Black brute" stereotype.
2
@ohmydamn6807 Science disagrees with your take on Transpeople. Also, Trying to torture/lobotomize people into being straight/cis? F That. I've read and seen more than enough horror stories about that barbaric nonsense, thank you very much.
1
Nah, other way around. Facts don't cease to exist just because you cling desperately to outdated beliefs
1
While I have no doubt Matt Walsh was being honest when he admitted that he sees Trans-people as less than human, that's about he's been honest about.
1
@sal5604 Yeah, you have the freedom to do that, but that doesn't make you exempt from the consequences of doing so as transphobia seem to believe they should be.
1
@sal5604 So, it's transphobic because a person does not want to affirm a person's belief? No, it's transphobic because you are denying the person their identity based on your denial of scientifically proven facts. If anything and everything that is the polar opposite of ensuring trans individuals are first, what is not transphobic? Can you rephrase this?
1
Which mocked what the right thinks is happening. The "Brute in a dress" is the transphobes' "Black Brute" caricature.
1
@danielgrace3355 If I was to guess, I suspect one of the out-to-outer-space conspiracy theories about the LGBTQ+ that the far-right media continues to push in spite of facts, because hate motives their flock.
1
@ianwilson4841 Oh no, wouldn't want to take time away from your attempts to silence and oppress scientists/educators for crimes of heresy against your ideology.
1
@Qq-xs1fz The whole "Brute in a dress harming women" threat narrative serves the same purpose for transphobes as the "Black brute harming white women" does for racists.
1
Yet y'all don't mention that fact that Trump is doing likewise. Wonder why....?🤔
1
@Jenifer_R_ How does fighting for the enforcement of sexist gender roles help women?
1
@Jenifer_R_ It presents the "Brute in a dress" strawman of Trans athletes, which is of course promotes the idea that you can somehow tell someone is trans by looking at them, which has led to women who don't "Dress/look/act like proper women" being targeted by TERFs and Far-right reactionaries as trans. For example, They recently went after a woman with Polycystic ovary syndrome (which causes her to grow a enormous amount of facial hair).
1
@ohmydamn6807 You're confused. The American far-right are the ones demand we affirm their paranoid and conspiratorial delusions as fact, even though they're not.
1
@ohmydamn6807 Nope, you however are being anti-science. Admit that.
1
@smaakjeks It's a perception filter the anti-woke have. One of many.
1
@davidkendall4588 They have the support of literally every institution in the country, from government Which is why those in power (Y'all) are abusing it to try to erase them from existence and censor science which validates their existence under false pretense. to universities At the risk of being targeted by the Far-right cult of tradition as heretics. corporations Lol? Corporations only care about selling their product to as broad an audience as possible by pretending to care about current "Woke" issues, often with little to no understanding of them. More often than not, these companies are also found to be donating to Transphobic groups by independent investigators and using their "support" as a false front.
1
@CyrusFreeman In Anti-Trans propaganda land, where if the facts don't affirm your hatred, out the window they go.
1
Who's "Meaning of having a family"? Because despite what the modern right says to you, it's different in many cultures.
1
@us3rG I got news for you: The Nuclear Family is not as traditional as Conservative revisionists would have you think. It only really became the norm in the 1950s.
1
Or we're paying attention to the facts.
1
@bladerunner3314 Nah, Modern science and history has shown that gender is social construct, And Gender Identity Theory has passed the scientific peer review process. But rather than accept and adapt their worldview around these discoveries, the anti-trans right has instead chosen to plunge headfirst into a bizarre little paranoid/persecutorial fantasy land, and to abuse their political power to try and censor them out of existence.
1
The "Brutes in dresses harming women" is a manufactured threat, just like racists with their "Black brutes harming white women" narrative.
1
@ohmydamn6807 No, it's Transwomen. Just because the right refuses to acknowledge the existence of people who don't conform to boxes designated by the far right (and the science that validates their existence), doesn't mean they aren't real.
