Yep. It's illegal to put up campaign posters too, and very expensive. Costing millions of pesos. But they still do it, because winning means so much money.

@yachishairclips2250 Every politician has those posters with their smiling faces plastered all over every available surface. Including in shantytowns like this one. They don't care about the irony, nor even the cleaning up after the elections are done.
