9:27 an age of sail frigate that actually survives to this day, that isn't made of oak, is the HMS Trincomalee which is a museum ship in Hartlepool. It is made from teak.

@alecblunden8615 Teak seems to be a better building material, (that's why later built ships i.e. 1869 Cutty Sark where made out of it), it rots less quickly, water resistant, less likely to get ship worm. However sailors were suspicious of it and spread rumours that your wounds would fester from the wood splinters, unlike splinters from oak. This does not seem to be the case (as why would it be different, it's just two types of dry wood) it was just an old sailors tale.

@davidbirt8486 it is a great visit when I went 2-3years ago, even though the weather wasn't too good
