32:39 two things that aren't taken into account here is that the lack of torpedoes on the Brooklyns is going to be a huge problem, in a 1v1. And although the Brooklyn's have more fire power, the Italian ship has better rangefinders and therefore better accuracy, even their much older WW1 cruisers they still had, were hitting on the 2nd salvo at battle ranges. The brooklyns on the other hand not so much.

I have to say comparing the all forward layout too a bullpup is quite funny as you can say the Richelieu's are therefore the Famas. Although didn't know Austria had a Steyr Aug battleship 😂

Sort of but it never had something as integral to the system failing too often and also by the end it was a lot more than just useful and effective, they turned out to be exceptionally good battleships, especially for when they were built.

 @firestorm165 that was for battleship shells for the smaller guns like these there wasn't that problem present.

 @dongiovanni4331 those radar ones would only be useful in the much later iterations and this would rely only on the Italian cruiser coming out in poor conditions which they wouldn't, in any condition the Italian crusier would choose to battle in, as it has the choice due to it's speed. It's own rangefinders well outpace even the last iteration put on the Brooklyns and this is ignoring the fact that when the usable radar came, Italy was out of the war and Italy was also very close to implementing it's own radar systems

 @issacfoster1113 how is it cope?

 @dongiovanni4331 right just for future reference it's called the Battle of Cape Esperance, not 2 and 3 savo island as nothing comes up. 1. Why are the Italian ship out at night 2. Why would the italian ship presume the US ship was friendly 3. Italian training was league's ahead of Japans so after that first shot they should have adjusted course to avoid the next salvo. This is the problem comparing two completely different navies and ships. On a 1 on 1 not one thing that happened here could ever happen in a 1 on 1.

 @dongiovanni4331 did you mean to say savo island as that was a disaster for the Americans and no brooklyns were there only better equipped and more capable cruiser where there, not just that I'm an positive that the Japanese spotted first

 @issacfoster1113 Well not really, that was the British doing something only the best trained navy on the planet can do and the right night conditions, if it was a brooklyn there, due to their much smaller shells than 15 inch, the Italian ship would just fire torpedoes and get the easy win.
