11:14 I'm very glad that saying AI reduces people's willingness to buy a product. It shows how much of it is just hype from investors looking at stock prices go up rather than coustomer satisfaction.

I do hope the government doesn't bail them out and the private sector does it, because if the government bails banks out again they will take this risk again as they know they'll just be bailed out.

20:59 It's a bit like The Road, (*spoiler*) how Viggo Mortensen distrustfulness eventually leads to his unnecessary death, due to him and his son running from a perceived enemy, who just wanted to help them.

@mulemule no he bought a stake in a company with a preexisting prototype and concept. Your next sentence is just being sycophantic and shows a real ignorance of what happened and a disregard for every other person involved. The rest of your comment is nonsencial. You also forgot to mention the biggest thing mu sk brought was constant over promising and under delivering, he admits himself that he has constantly l ied about full self driving. In 2015 he first claim full self driving will be available next year, he has said that every single year since and almost a decade later we do not have it.

@Foolish188 your comment has only got better with time

Two other great examples of the Efficient Market Hypothesis not being true is Game Stop stock and for a more long term over valuation you have Tesla.

Let's be honest things like adding an Ipad to a fridge has to be included in this

Brilliant Video

Why would the dog bowl need to be AI surely it would be much easier cheaper and a lot more reliable to just have code that just reads the thermometer to check the temperature and I guess adjust the temperature

7:47 two factors I think are at play on top of what you said. 1. Larger companies donate more therefore the candidate they put money behind has more adverts leading to them to more likely back the winning candidate. 2. Such large companies have to go with the more likely option, whereas smaller companies can be more emotional and biased towards one side the my pillow guy springs to mind, due to their cooperate structure being different.

@SiisKolkytEuroo the rocket is too small for the amount of people who are meant to go, there are not enough supplies even with reduced crew. the trip will be too long with no gravity and there is no way to create artifical gravity with the type of rocket proposed (we also don't know if the kind of 2001 space Odyssey style would work meaning even a space craft like that probably will not work). There is a great series by the common sense skeptic if you want a billion more reasons and more in depth approach.
2
@mulemule who's that then? As m usk didn't start it and the big thing that made the company was subsidies saving it and the original idea of ion batteries by the original owners.

I think what also have to be pointed out is increasing interest rates will not effect current inflation as increasing interest rates only causes inflation to drop, if the reason for the inflation is people spending too much. But that's not what is happening as has been shown the main reason for inflation right now is profiteering (previously including wholesale food prices and energy however these have both dropped in recent months). Tackling that is how you reduce inflation, I understand the BofE does not have any powers to implement windfall taxes etc. However bashing a square peg into a round whole is a farcical display.
2
The last time wages were rising quicker than today the inflation rate was 2.49% what flawed models are the BofE using, where they think 3% wages = 2% inflation genuinely what think tank gave them that nonsense.

I would point out ubers app is absolutely awful, the only thing that works is Google maps the one thing they didn't do. They became billionaires not from their own hard work but the hard work of others
2
I hope you are correct

That is not being smart that's being delus ionally arrogant.

Tesla is well over valued at the moment, nothing has to happen to him the stocks will crash at some point.

@Patrick-bu5vy he hasn't invented anything anyway he just buys other people's ideas, and will lie that he created stuff.
1
@SiisKolkytEuroo God how cringe can you get. If you look at the plans so far he isn't going to mars ever the current proposal is infeasible.
1
@SiisKolkytEuroo it maybe the largest rocket, but it can't carry 100 people, look at the staturn 5 that was just to the moon and it carried 3 people, Starship is not 33x bigger. You genuinely think they will make 1000s of them 🤦♂️ They are already 3 years behind on promises with no indication of any process on 1 let alone 1,000!
1
@SiisKolkytEuroo can you show me where it says the progress is on time? And they have a useable rocket. From my knowledge 2018 was when the rocket should have been ready, but it's still a scaled down prototype

Interesting fact SVB spent money lobbying the government to reduce regulation they got it in 2018 and that de-regulation is parlty why they are in this position today.
