  1. As an island nation these are a no brainer. No need to rely on gas and oil from elsewhwre that needs refining. Edit : the first comment in the thread talks about cost and then recommends the most expensive (by up to over 14 times the cost) non fossil fuel emitting power generation source per megawatt/hr and that's not even dealing with the nuclear waste which costs further billions.

  22. The average tax burden is the highest it's been since WW2. Yet the real (collected) top rate of tax is the lowest it's been since WW2 and corporation tax up until a year ago was at a 50 year low.

  31. Over 50 percent of gaza are under the age of 18. Not just that, this question was before last week it was 57% not 75% and it said do you support Hamas over Israel which when you think under UN resolutions Israel is illegally occupying palastianian land what do you expect.

Both this war and the war in Ukraine are of course horrible, however if you look at civilian de aths, by mid next week not even a month into this conflict it is estimated to exceed that of Ukraine civilians after over 600 days of war and that's from the Russian government who disregards human life. Casualties as a whole are already higher in gaza and that was a few days ago.
