Is there anything the tories can run

Great video

Just shouting 17,000 trucks is pointless when not in context over these 5 months if we actually look at the facts around 75,000 trucks were needed in that time.
2
Horrifying video

More children have d ied in these few months in gaza than in the last 4 years of world conflict combined

The war in Ukraine waged by Russia is of course horrible, yet in one year just over 400 children were k illed in Ukraine which is awful, but in 3 weeks Isreal has k illed 3,000 children. Isreal is kil ling children at a rate 100x that of Russia and we have seen how the Russian government has little regard for human life.

When the Republicans can't even elect a house speaker, how can people think they have any ability to run their county, city, state or country.

Do you though, it makes no difference to l ie and also they are government who set the rules not your made up friends.
2
Because they need a senior civil servant and she's one of if the not the best in the entire country for when they get in power, it means from day one they can implement policy and getting one that means every single time the Tory's try to discredit her they have to bring up that they were breaking the law, which shifts focus onto Tory incompetence it's a master stroke.
2
Of course Suank has not suspended them, do you expect from someone who worked at Goldman Sachs.

"Trained under soviet times" is a meaningless statement if your field marshall was not in the army 30 years ago that would be extremely worrying, let alone the previous guy was also trained under Soviet times. If you look at how Ukraine has fought this war it has been with modified soviet tactics, whereas Russia has used the tactics of the 1999 Modernisation plan which has been a disaster.

John Redwood should just resign how in the world can he say it wasn't truss and Kwasi, he'd blame it on the boogie before he them
2
@06rtm okay so you have shifted the goalposts and addressed nothing I said, that's fun, although quite standard for someone who listened to JP. Corbyn isn't Marxist and neither is Bernie Sanders, I'm sorry but this is quite embrassessing I didn't think you'd be this ignorant on the topic. Your last sentence is just a buzzword mess that if I have deciphered correctly, you want to ban news networks from ever saying Marxism exists or pointing out core problems with our current system, which is anti free speech on a level 1984 would be proud of.
2
More than BMP or British Union of Fascists! Or are you just going to admit now you were just being hyperbolic and aren't actually this politically ignorant and mentally ill.

If you are "careless" with benefits you have to pay double and have a high chance of going to prison. Not 30% like tax cheats.
2
He should be in prison
2
Is this genuinely what you've got 🤦♂️ because the security at the venue wasn't good that means starmers government wouldn't be able to run a government. What happened in your life to lead to this point?
2
@Build_Secrets more taxation on the wealthiest, we have the highest tax burden on the average person since ww2 yet the lowest top rate of tax since WW2. "Cut government spending and focus on infrastructure" can you get any more oxymoronic. That is an increase in government spending especially with how bad our infrastructure has gotten due to underfunding the government. Business investment is pre-tax, if you want to encourage investment you need to increase tax, as it means the business is encouraged to keep the money in the business and invest, rather than going for profit which a lower tax rate would encourage. It takes years to train, therefore we need immigration while we train people up. Which oh yeah will require more government spending on education. But that is fine because every pound spent on education, £8 is created in the economy. Automation is a meaningless platitude, what automation and how does that help out people in the country.
2
@hughiemg2 yeah and the top rate has been frozen at historic low.
2
@davidhaylett1810 148 bascially puts him below the majority as well... 41% of his MP's have no confidence in him, that is horrendous, especially when you look at the kind of sycophants you have in the tory party.
2
I don't think you know what's what happened do you. All that happened was a third motion was added, now before a few hours ago I bet you didn't even know that you can only have 2 was a rule.
2
Exactly!

@ukwatotskuhide270 1. well it does because even as Tidal is cheaper than natural gas which our energy price is pegged to. 2. Yeah because our energy prices are pegged to which ever energy is the most expensive at the time. 3. The biggest cost for renewable is set up as well and is a lot cheaper than nuclear. Can you give an example where nuclear has been built cheaper than other forms of energy due to mass construction of nuclear? 4. Sorry I had to come back to this after laughing firstly 200 is a tiny number in terms of power generation. Secondly nuclear power on naval vessels is not how you make them on land 🤦♂️ You are even out of your depth on something you want to build tens of thousands of. Tidal is experimental but the difference is making a blade spin under water is a bit different than a small scale nuclear powerplant...
2
@mrfr87 nuclear is the most expensive non fossil fuel emitting power generation in the world per kilowatt yearly production mutiple times that of any renewable source and that is before you build the waste storage facilities which cost billions. It has pitfalls in terms of location which it needs huge amounts of water for example, as it is a steam engine. The down time in renewables is actually easily solved by pumped storage with Hydroelectric. Even historically our peak power in the UK was not supplied by fossil fuels or nuclear it was Hydroelectric with electric mountain. Instant power when it is needed which cannot be said for nuclear, which has quite a lot of checks which can include refusal to move the rods at that time.

Why would a Whale swim into a giant blade? They have eyes

The people who ran Thames water should be arrested and thrown in prison

Since 2019 taxes has risen for the average family £13,000 under the tories this should be all over the news

Such a horrible situation

It's always fascinating to get to these comments early and see the coordinated often bot comments, with the same obfuscation that changes day by day try to justify k illing over 3,000 children and moving onto the next obfuscation when they get debunked.
2
@JustMe99999 the fact that you have just dropped everything, to then vaguely claim I don't know what I'm talking about when you can't even address what I said, hilarious. So I guess the UN doesn't know what it's talking about, the UN says Isreal is occupying palastianian land. They know more about this than you and are not western as it's the entire world coming together.
2
@ItsJustRyan89 I'm sorry I was rude, I'm just getting tired of having to explain GCSE economics to people who know nothing about economics, yet constantly and confidently spout economically illiterate nonsense. Because what has the late 1800s got to do with our conversation. Except that the growth back then was only possible due to transport links, allowing for the city to expand further afield, damn thanks for giving me another argument. Oh and don't think I haven't noticed that you have obfuscated and dropped the entire conversation
2
@ItsJustRyan89 so you are running away because you have no argument, you'll notice my first sentence points out that it maybe a theory but has worked in practice. Yet you are focusing not on this new information, but the fact that I pointed out this is new information to you. So you pretend I said nothing new, which is ironically very childish reaction. Hopefully you'll reflect on this conversation at some point in the future when you're calm and realise that maybe you should do a modicum of research before talking on a topic.
2
@ItsJustRyan89 Council spending is used to attract businesses, sometimes it doesn't work out, often it does. There you go, does that still upset you, do I need to be more vague to make you not consider it a strawman, which I don't think you know the meaning of. You are acting like they are separate when they are entwined, London having such good public transport allows it to grow exponentially. As you said you are so knowledgeable on economics, so you'd have to admit I'm correct as a huge success story and reason the Isle of Dogs worked was the DLR. Something you get taught in GCSE economics. Which I'm sure you are well above that level... So why weren't you thinking of this famous example?
2
@ItsJustRyan89 learn basic Kaynesian economics, you invest in your nation and that causes economic growth. It's very simple when you think about it.
2
No it doesn't work like that as austerity makes living standards worse and the economy worse. It solves nothing and just makes everything worse, except for the people that get cheap deals for assets sold off through corruption.
2
Why would someone be happy with a policy that makes the situation worse?
2
@sebastienholmes548 government spending in real terms has gone down since 2010, council budgets have been cut by 40%. A lack of government spending and leaving the EU have caused us to go into an economic slump. I would ask how in your economically illiterate mind you think government spending will cause an economic slump?
2
@charly7937 look at how private industry taking over essential services has worked out in the UK. Do I even have to mention the water companies... Not to mention if a private company can do that business, that means there is money to be made, therefore It wouldn't be adding debt onto the government as it would be profitable. Just think before you write. No it's probably people who understand basic economics and can see the how disastrous austerity was in the UK or how shock therapy in Russia and eastern europe went so badly that some places still haven't recovered economically to this day. Can you give an example of austerity or shock therapy working, except for the few oligarchs it creates that raid the nations in question.
