@PraneeI I do not think so . . .
"Iron mining in the United States began in 1608, when a ship returning from the Jamestown Colony in Virginia
CARRIED A LOAD OF IRON ORE BACK TO ENGLAND.
The manufacture of iron from ore apparently began in 1622, in what is now Chesterfield County, Virginia, but was halted when American Indians killed everyone in the establishment.
John Winthrop, Jr. established an iron furnace at Braintree, Massachusetts, which started making iron in 1644, but closed when it ran out of nearby ore in 1647. A more successful effort was established at Saugus, Massachusetts.
Iron production in the 1700s was done with charcoal, of which American forests could provide a seemingly endless supply. Numerous small iron mines supplied
IRON FURNACES SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE COLONIES
in the 1700s.
Bog iron ore common around the Chesapeake Bay fed numerous iron furnaces in Maryland and Virginia set up to export to Britain.
It will be appreciated if you will get your facts right when speaking about America. 😎👍🇺🇸 ✝️

@pincermovement72 Why should we fight Russia?
Russia did not invade America, Japan, or Europe. Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine. It is their job to defend their own country when it is attacked. It is not our job.
And your example parallel is ridiculous -- America did not call Mexico a bunch of NAZIs and go invade Mexico.
And if you do not understand why Russia needs to be tamed you do not know your Russian history. Do you know how many times in history Russia has invaded one of their neighbors?
59 times.
Do you know how large Russia was in 1000 ad? About the size of Germany.
They literally expanded to their current size by invading and taking over their neighbors. They have in the past even invaded and tried to annex both Mongolia and China.
All through their long history Russia has been exchanging lives for territory and their blood is on their own hands. Now they have Ukrainian blood on their hands (and not the first time).
And what do you mean "buffer zone"?
That is just stupid.
Is there any country in the would that can say, "I want this country here next to me to be completely disarmed and no self-defense weapons at all because I want them to be my "buffer zone" instead of being their own country with their decisions and rights?
That is stupid. No country has the right to say that about any other country.
Does America have a "buffer zone" country?
Does China have a "buffer zone" country?
Does Israel have a "buffer zone" country?
"Every world power must have a "buffer zone" ?????
Name one.
The United States has the North American Free Trade Agreement with the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
So according to your military theory, the North American bloc is threatening Greenland, Cuba, Grenada, Haiti, El Salvador and Guatemala?
And I suppose Puerto Rico is the common launch point?
Do not be absurd.
And I guess you have never been told that the United States has a nuclear missile launch field in Wyoming near the Canadian border and those nuclear missiles are aimed due North in the direction of Canada?
Do you hear Canada complaining?
