@lesahenderson7365 For starters, you are completely out of line telling your elders to "grow up.'
Now I will tell you what happened in Iraq:
Iraq has a very checkered history of internal wars that you have never heard of. During those internal wars, Saddam Hussein and his government used a WMD called mustard gas on tens of thousands of his own citizens who were a minority group called Kurds.
The United Nations ordered him to destroy his WMDs or face sanctions.
Then Saddam Hussein claimed that Kuwait was stealing Iraqi oil and invaded Kuwait. Then the allies went to war against Iraq. That was in 1991.
After that war, the United Nations inspectors tried to do their inspection to see if Iraq still had the WMDs. But the Iraqi government was playing cat and mouse with the UN inspectors and the UN inspectors could not do their job.
At this point it is instructive to note that Saddam had previously built a nuclear reactor, but had dismantled it. But the UN inspectors could not verify things because of the cat and mouse game.
Following on the heels of that background, a top-level Iraqi scientist defected to Germany. The Iraqi scientist told German intelligence that he had personally worked in Iraq's WMD program and he gave long, lengthy descriptions of all of the WMDs that Iraq was currently developing and that he had worked on to German intelligence.
On the basis of what German intelligence had, Iraq was invaded.
The only one who lied here was, apparently, the Iraqi scientist/defector.
In Syria, the Syrian Democratic Force is trying to overthrow the dictator there. The United States is rendering assistance.
Now I will give you some advice about "growing up" :
1. You will be more "grown up, if you do your research, know your facts, and have your facts straight before accusing someone of lying.
