I really like the idea of Mark Kelly as her VP. He's an astronaut which I think still carries a cool factor with it, and it might help put Arizona back into the Electoral College win column for the Democrats. I don't think any of the people from deep red states can accomplish that.

@r.h.lincoln9889 I don't trust NC to not go for Trump no matter what. Although that problem could also happen in Arizona, so yeah, maybe. I'm just more familiar with Kelly than Cooper. And while Shapiro would normally be a solid choice too (I really hate thinking this) I'm nervous about having someone Jewish on ticket with what's happening in Gaza. The last thing we need is give people any reasons to not vote for the Democrats or simply not vote for anyone. I still like Mark Kelly best because of the astronaut thing.

It's always been about defeating Trump. Now we have the additional imperative of defeating Project 2025. It would be good to let JD Vance know that he's not wanted either.
