As a US citizen I've been embarrassed and ashamed of my leaders from both parties many time over during the course of my life, but what we saw yesterday was a new low of deplorable behavior. The only thing I can say is that while Harris and Walz had their problems, I voted for them because I knew, after the first Trump term, how bad a second one would be - or at least I thought I did. I support every ally cutting ties with my country until Trump and Vance are out of office.

@ConsciousFBA I tried to post a list for you but YouTube deleted it. If you really want to know and aren't just trolling us then you can easily do a search. There are a variety of news sources out there that document the claims that both candidates made and whether they were being truthful or not.

Personally I'd rather not have a ruling class in this country at all, but I'm weird that way. JD? He's weird in a much darker and more nihilistic way. Having him be one very old heartbeat away from being President of the US is just one more reason to not vote for Trump. Not that I needed yet one more reason other than Trump himself and Project 2025.

To be clear, when i write he or his I'm referring to Trump -- That Biden allowed millions of people to come in here from prisons, jails and mental institutions. That Biden allowed in 18 million people. That Democrats will take the life of a child in the eighth month, the ninth month, and even after birth. That Biden caused the current inflation. "I gave him a country with … essentially no inflation. It was perfect." That the cost of food has gone up by "double, triple and quadruple" amounts under Biden. 21% is a lot but it's far from even doubling. That "The only jobs (Biden) created are for illegal immigrants and bounce-back jobs, bounce-back from the COVID." That Biden "indicted me because I was his opponent." That Biden "wants to raise your taxes by four times. He wants to raise everybody's taxes by four times." That he "gave you the largest tax cut in history." That there wee no Terrorism attacks during his presidency. That during the 2020 election, "the fraud and everything else was ridiculous." There was some, often by Republicans, but not enough to effect the election results. He said that Pelosi said she takes full responsibility for Jan. 6 which she hasn't said. and the list goes on. ...I wonder if YouTube will even let me post all of these lies by Donald Trump.

Proven by the lack of fallout from the Stormy Daniels affair, as long as Melania doesn't have to be the one servicing Donny's deviant needs she's probably fine with it. She's been well paid for what she's already had to put up with.

It's unfortunate but she's probably going to win that race. Can't win in her old district, but the folks on the Eastern plains are so upset about the Democrats and the liberal politics in Denver that they'll sacrifice any decency they have to give the left the middle finger. The conservative rural voters of the US are politically the worst of us.

I posted that quote an awful lot during the campaign to explain how the election polls were so close. And it's just as relevant now that the election is over. You and me, childless-catlady, we'd get along just fine.

I really hope a lot of extra voters come out this year, and other people who voted for him in the past at least just stay home, so that Harris/Walz win the electoral college by a big margin and Trump can't really defend another "it was rigged/stolen" argument again. The MAGA meltdown and Trump freak out would be truly wonderful to see.

Nobody at CNN, and especially Bash and Tapper, should be questioning anyone's competency with as incompetent as they were during that debate debacle. Announcing that they weren't going to fact check ahead of time gave Trump permission going into that debate to spew lie after lie. And when it was obvious Biden wasn't up to the task of trying to refute his lies they sat by and enabled Trump without any real push back to speak of. The fact that they are so completely shameless about their complicity in that nonsense is just one more reason why I don't watch mainstream infotainment anymore.

I don't get why people here are acting like she isn't a conservative. The conservative Republican party gave us Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes (along with Dick Cheney, the War on Terror and the Patriot Act), and Trump plus too many awful Governors, Senators, and Representatives to list here. They have fought against every attempt to regulate guns, do right by every minority group in the US, do anything about global warming/climate change, and now they own the Supreme Court and are trying to make the Handmaids Tale into reality. The conservative media from Rush Limbaugh to Fox news has spent decades spreading mis- and disinformation, outright lies, hatred, white nationalist jingoism and tearing this country apart. Lauren Boebert fits right into their midst.

If a woman wants to limit herself to being a wife and a mother that's fine. But the idea that women can't be wives, mothers and have careers is just dumb. Besides, most women, especially single moms, don't have a choice about needing to have a career to help support their families. And even in two-parent families very few of them have a husband earning the salary of an NFL player to rely on. That was one of the various problems with the nonsense of Harry's speech.
