@elizabethhenning778 : Let's start with the fact that this essay generalizes to the point of meaninglessness. (Reminds me of the hot takes on leaf blowers.) For example, 90%+ of the homes in my small city (pop. 30k) have lawns that are watered naturally and never treated with fertilizer or pesticides. My neighbors are, for the most part, morons. If they watched this, they would feel unseen and offended.

So utterly and completely tone-deaf, you have to laugh to keep from crying.

@laneatkinson6441 : I mow my clover. It grows flowers, you know. And they get tall and I ugly

@laneatkinson6441 : No, yeah, I shouldn't call the flowers ugly. Each flower is lovely. If my yard was uniformly clover, and it all flowered at more-or-less the same time, I'd be in yard heaven. But, the dappled light of shade trees in an old zone 7 neighborhood that gets plenty of rain means my clover is patchy. Grass, crabgrass, clover. And moss. Quite a lot of square footage blanketed with moss. No chemicals. Except herbicide on the curb. Keep it neat and tidy. Looks great. 👍 And way better for our environment than whatever concrete monstrosity this snooty essay was likely written in. lol
