@MrScrofulous : Sadly, the whole point is to NOT beat the Russians quickly and decisively. Rather, we're meant to essentially use Ukraine as a meat grinder to shred the Russian army and Putin's regime into abject disability. It's going to take a little while. We have to pace ourselves. This is NATO's literal stated goal. It's all very sad for Ukraine, and for all of us. But we will rebuild it.

@johnpombrio : Agreed. On both points. #1 being that everybody has been predicting this for ages. It's no different than climate change. But Peter has his unique way of capitalizing on these eventualities. Which I guess is worth ... something?

@isldstormhawaii4084 : I'm not talking about obvious eventualities, I'm talking about the hubris of putting time-frames on them, and being disingenuous about the facts you use to support the time-frames. Fact is, the Russians not only have a shitload of storage capacity, but China is hooking up and sucking way more than---. At any rate, I mean no ill will. I'm glad to see so many citizens interested. I'm glad for Peter's role as a popularizer. But credibility is a BIG DEAL nowadays. More than it's ever been. Peter's on our side. Our side has to have standards.

The only reason Russia is slowing deliveries is to deny Europe (esp. GER) the ability to fill its reserves. Has zero to do with Russian storage capacity.

@HR_8035_YEA : It's not happening at all. The Russians are throttling supply so that the Europeans can't refill their reserve capacity. Zero to do with Russian storage capacity or having to cap wells.

@robertmichon5448 : Yeah, but he's also a bit of a straight-up fabulist, e.g. spouting wildly inaccurate assessments of the latest COVID-19 variants. You have to take his near-term info (never mind predictions) with the tiniest grain of salt.
