  1. Finland took one a few weeks ago, Sweden this past week (after PZ made this video). I'm waiting to see what'll happen if they take one with heavy Chinese association (crew, cargo, or ownership). Germany did tow one into port but that was an oil tanker that lost power and not a suspect in cable or pipeline chicanery.

  5. The way you phrased that, with the word 'empire' and 'domination' in that last sentence says sooo much about how the USA and Russia differ in foreign relations. The USA comes in with diplomates, pens and paper and works out agreements with countries that mutually benefit both, while Russia comes in with 'swords' and other weapons and negotiates a 'partnership' from behind a gun barrel.

  6. Hasn't that been an on-again/of again situation for the past few decades?. Tribal/ethnic loyalties, western-designated borders, and valuable resources. Uganda's in it too, although they say they are not, then they say they might be, then say its just border security.

  7. If Trump's first week in office is any indication. I sure hope all the foreigners/foreign leaders out there have thick-enough skins to make it through Trump's 4 year presidency (maybe 2 years depending on how the mid-term' Congressional elections go in 2026). After 'week 1' he appears to be more brutish like his political idols Putin and Xi rather than someone who tries to use diplomacy first.
