  1. If its a brine solution, would the initial processing in Arkansas be done with osmosis filtration to remove the lithium-containing alkaline solids?. Much better than the air-drying method, but the brine waste will get the environmentalists riled up. Also need to mention there are huge deposits across the border from Chile in Bolivia, but Bolivia has an extreme nationalistic (and negative) fervor when it comes to past negative experiences with 'wealth extraction' by colonial masters probably makes it a no-go right now no matter how valuable the lithium is.

  2. I'm wondering about Peter's comments on lithium being a good storage medium in buildings. I'm not familiar with all the battery types used currently for solar- power-generated electricity, but everything I've seen while working in the construction industry have been outside of buildings, and above a certain size they have to be separated from the occupiable building itself (new tech makes for a chaotic situation in the building/fire codes and can easily change from year to year). Putting them inside a building, especially a basement, with the potential for tough-to-tackle fires, would be a huge no-no at this point in time.
