  1. The grocery stores put turkey on sale at this time of the year. It was at our store for 49 cents a pound. Sweet potatoes were on sale for 25 cents a pound. All the other fall food is on sale too. Some people buy several turkeys and put them in the freezer for turkey throughout the winter or for summer salads. Hi from Michigan.
