@nayeemhaider8367 The USA has a cornucopia of flaws, but plenty of opportunities as well. It's sheer size and population, and relative development for that size, gives lots of chances to lead a happy life 🙂

@moomoocowsly The spas were Asian; they are Asian owned and have Asian employees. Why didn't he go to a strip club if he needed to kill sex workers so badly? Why did he only target Asian places? Perhaps he thought Asians would be easy targets? Either way, I find it unlikely that race had nothing to do with it. Also, why are you so quick to dismiss a possible racial component to the crime? I don't think it was the only factor, but one of many factors.

@moomoocowsly Statistically though, reported cases of anti-Asian incidents more than doubled in 2020. This, while cases against every other minority decreased. It is not a good trend, so it is not implausible for race to have been a factor. Just wait for the investigation to finish.......

@moomoocowsly Yeah, the attack wasn't racially motivated at all. He just drove 20 something miles and shot up exclusively Asian spas, but nothing racial about it 😕

@X50505 The FBI labels what a hate crime is or is not, so you have to wait for that. I don't see how it's race baiting, to keep open the possibility of discriminatory views. Once again, why so fast to dismiss racism or other prejudiced views?

@X50505 I have just stated my opinion, not some kind of irrefutable fact or theory. I simply believe race was one factor (not the single factor) in the motivation for the killings. I am open to changing my mind due to what the FBI findings will say in a few weeks or months. Just keep an open mind, and don't be so quick to label me, or others, as liberal puppets who want to sow division. That kind of talk is pure right-wing garbage that gave rise to idiots like Trump.
