Something I noticed living in Korea is there's very little color. Almost everyone wears muted colors or white/black. The apartment forests are nearly all white. Cars are almost all black/white/gray. I felt depressed many times there and lack of color was a contributing factor IMO......except the food! Plenty of color there!

I strongly disagree with you about employee benefits. The US is atrocious on maternity/paternity leave, vacation time and healthcare coverage for the average worker. Income is very inconsistent as well, as wages have not kept up with inflation. Plenty of opportunities though for sure.

How are women's rights in the UAE, Qatar, or Oman? Or what about alcohol, like if I wanted to drink a beer at a local park....what would happen?

@magnetguide I disagree with you about Koreans following Japanese clothing trends. They're quite different IMO.....

@mandy11254 Yes the US is certainly better than most countries on these things, but compared to other OECD....not so good. Don't get me wrong though, I am American and after having lived in Korea for six years, I have been very happy with my move back to the US 😎

@truthshouldntoffend-yv5gc Are women allowed to run corporations or be politicians in those countries? What about domestic abuse, would the man be prosecuted? And for alcohol....I meant it in the context of wouldn't I be arrested in most cases for drinking alcohol? Seems pretty 👎 to me, although admittedly I've never been to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, etc....maybe I'd like it there....but doubtful.

@jonfreeman9682 I guess I was referencing to the daytime. At night there's plenty of color with the signage.
