@Theaverageazn247 even if that 1 drone does not succeed. the person operating that drone is sitting out of the direct line of fire. the tank has people in it that are inside of it. in the end the tank could be preplaced with enough materials. however every human taking out of the fight by death or injury will make it harder and harder to keep going as you need both people fighting, maintaining the ability to fight both directly as far back from the frontline. That in general is the toughest part of war. a dead person can not fight, or build up the country after the fight. or make new humans to replace them.

that is the thing in Ukraine they are using those cheap drones as very cheap flying bomb. losing 1 or multiple of those is much cheaper in both money, material and human recourses. learning how to fly those cheap consumer drones good enough to just move around only takes a few hours. and if the drone is gone that same operator can just switch to a new drone with the same systems. also the bigger the amount the order you make the cheaper they can be.

@DeadNoob451 looking at some of them they are often just 3D printed bodies and rotors, the computer/power source are indeed RC controles or basic smartphone parts. They are really made like those d i y kits you buy at a hobbyshop. only on a larger scale. the only tools they need are basic hand tools and even then they are made as easy as possible so it might even work with half of the screws or even just rubber elastics. they might only survive a week but if broken before end use they can be swapped out. other versions are even cheaper with a fixed wing made of tent material. they only need to last 1 hour max.
