  1. I suspect the generals in the army know Xi wants to invade Taiwan and they also know China is nowhere ready to do that. Xi does not like naysayers and so they are being replaced with people who tell Xi what he wants to hear. That worked so well for Putin and his "three day military operation". Dictators after they are in power for a while start drinking their own Kool-Aid.

  2. With all the marching soldiers I would have thought I was watching films of Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Hitler and Xi. Great minds think alike. And so do theirs.
