@RUTHLESSambition5 You have no clue what you are talking about. This system David Sling is not built to shoot down short range rockets. David Sling has different role, David sling is a medium range air defense system meant for shooting down short to medium range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aircrafts. You are clearly ignorant on the matter. There is no other air missile defense system in the world that is able to shoot down short range rockets such as these or mortar shells, it hasn't been produced. There is only one that exist and it's the Iron dome. Iron Dome's role is to shoot down rockets, mortars, drones and cruise missiles. I suggest you stop embarrassing yourself. You don't even know the differences of the roles of these platforms. I will school you some more, there is no such thing as an air defense system in the world with 100% accuracy. Israel's Iron Dome has 97% accuracy. Which other air defense system have that rate of interception. I challenge you to name me one. The US is producing it's upgraded version of Patriot air defense and guess what? The US will be using Israel's David's Sling's interceptor "stunner" for it's latest patriot air defense. Another thing is these "cheap" short range rockets are harder to hit since they are extremely close to your territory and it takes them only a couple of minutes to land, unlike ballistic missiles which takes hours and gives you ample time to intercept. @arupmallick3923 The US was taking a nap. However Russia and China kept poking it boasting about their hypersonic missiles. It seems like they awoken the eagle. The US has been testing hypersonic long before Russia and China had the technology. Look up the North American X-15. The US is the pioneer of hypersonic vehicles but simply took a nap since it preferred sea skimming missile to avoid radar detection instead of hypersonic ones. North American X-15 is the world record for the highest speed ever recorded by a crewed, powered aircraft, which remains unbroken. This was in 1950s-1960s. I seriously don't get the hype about hypersonic missiles. The US has already made a plane which flies at hypersonic speed more than 50 years ago. Just to name a few more GAM-87 Skybolt(better than Russia's Kinzhal hypersonic missile. It was developed in the late 1950s) Pershing II AIM-54 Phoenix Hypersonic missiles are not alien technology. Israel could produce them if it decided it needed them, Japan could do the same, Germany, UK, France could do too. Nothing special, it's only made special by fanboys
