As a german i still cant understand what the generation of our grandfathers did. Its so important to listen to the suvivors as long as they're able to speak to us. Peter, thank your for the interview!

Before you deny the holocaust better inform about that there were different areas in the camp: Birkenau, where all incoming were killed and Monowitz, a large industrial area.

@bob-wo3ir If you look back you can find antisemitism in every single european country, each on a different level, in germany mainly historical-religious and materialistic based, but germany decided trying to kill all european jews - the plan to kill 11 million people. Science tries to explain since decades how this could happen and still has no found an answer, so its way to easy to call it "a german cultural thing."

@damonmelendez856 Not Serbia proclaimed it, the german occupiers did. The serbian roylists under Mihailovic were in resistance, some serbians collaborated. Especially former yugoslawien kingdom was compilcated: catholic croatians, orthodox serbians and muslimic bosnians fought each other and communist partisans among them.

@FerventReminder Right, its illegal to denie the holocaust here. Of course you still can debate about details but you cant denie what happened. And no, i dont think its concerning. The Holocaust is probably the best-documented crime of all time; there are more than enough perpetrators who have openly admitted to mass murder.

@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom Calm down please. I'm from germany and the use of of the term 'caucasian' is different here - here it means people from armenia, azerbaidschan, chechnya to name a few. I still dont get it what the difference between 'caucasian' in your understandance and 'european' as i used should be. I wasnt intending to "put words in your mouth or accuse (or imply)." With 'special european' i meant as i wrote that violence is not exklusiv labeled with 'european.' There was violence in all ways before the europeans conquered the world and probably you're right when you say this had an impact on the local societies till today. And in the end i still dont understand how you can relate your first comment with the interview of an holocaust survivor.

In Auschwitz jewish people were forced to enter gas chambers and burnt in crematories. Whats wrong with to compare gas chambers with the current conflict between people from Israel and Palestin?!
