However it does seem to be the fashion for fascists to cloak themselves with nice peaceful sounding words to hide their discriminatory agendas.

@slim11shock The Indians were not at Dunkirk, so you don't portray them there! Don't go thinking the Indians fought for the British for nothing! The British promised India her independence at the end of the war if they fought for Britain. Which Britain honoured. (So where is the praise for that then?). But then once the British left, the Indians started fighting each other again, like they did before Britain conquered them. They then split the country in half and named one side Pakistan. Looks like the British was not as bad as they say and did some good in their country!

@slim11shock The Indian militarily played no significant role in Europe in 1940, especially not during the Dunkirk evacuation. You are talking about Normandy 4 years later. Yes Britain could not afford to keep India after the war so Britain gave India her independence. But the Indian people are responsible for their own religions and tribalism. Your tribes were fighting each other while the British occupied you. It was the Indian people who divided the country, even when some Indian people called out for uniting under a single country. Of course resources were taken from India, however Britain gave back to the country. Britain built India's railways, roads, canals, mines, sewers, plantations and the establishment of English law and language. Britain laid the foundations for modern day India and the prosperity that it enjoys today. I'm not saying everything the British Empire did was good. But India and Pakistan did benefit from British rule. Just like how Britain benefited from Roman rule. But do you hear British people denouncing the Italians, 1000s of years later? No.

@ABritishGuy Yes I agree! Plus it was a different time. People need to realise that you can not hold 1930s actions on 2020 "morality". It's easy for people having unrealistic morals when society is relatively safe and you don't even have to kill your own food. Once the modern person looses food and shelter, they will turn into a far bigger savage then the people of the early 1900s.
