There may be other reasons why this statue was there, just thinking "man, slave trader, statue = bad" is a childish thought process with barely any reason. Should we burn all historic material regarding WW2 because it was a "very upsetting time"?

  6.  @EtcEtcAndEtc  The slaves were sold by other black people, not kidnapped! The black people also used their own people as slaves. In any case, it was a different time! It's easy living by morals when you don't even have to kill your own food!
