This technology is way too dangerous for it to exist. A very small percentage of people who would get some benefit from it for a time, is not a good trade off.

When your bank account runs dry you won't be able to afford it, because you know eventually they will change it to a subscription model! The problems you mentioned can be solved in the real world with a bit of effort. This is what this technology is trying to do - end effort. Which is a bad thing.
