  3. in South Africa, Omicron has taken over 90% of the cases. Almost 80% of the omicron ppl in the hospital had few signs of the disease...they were discovered because patients are tested for covid. Of the thousands of cases, only 400 have needed ventilators, and a few hundred more have needed supplemental oxygen. More than half of the patients have been fully vaxxed. With the speed of transmission of omicron and the mild signs, if Omicron takes over the world, it will end the pandemic.
