Sadly, that's not going to happen this year. If it does happen before 2024 we're stuck with Kamala. That's probably worse!

@jamesperkins5453 That's true. However Biden would be first, then Kamala would appoint a new VP when she became President. She could then be impeached. Then whoever was appointed would be President with a new VP.

@jamesperkins5453 The speaker would only take the position of President if there is no VP or if the VP is ineligible. If the President is impeached, convicted, and removed. The VP/ President appoints a new VP subject to Congressional approval. This is per the 25th ammendment. Also remember conviction depends on 67 Senators to vote yes.
