@GoodAvatar You have swallowed the left wing media narrative hook, line, and sinker. Republicans are not "loosing their minds" over CRT. As a former teacher, I taught 3rd and 4th grade curriculum. Republicans are not against teaching history including all the horrible ugly parts of slavery and racism. However, you shouldn't be teaching about racism with more racism. Making white children feel guilty or that they are responsible for slavery does nothing good and only promotes more division. No race should be made to feel that they are "less than" any other race. CRT sees everything through the construct of race. Yes, America has a racist past. However America was not built or founded by or because of slavery. The Revolutionary War was not fought for slavery as the 1619 project wants you to believe. Does racism still exist, yes. However, there are no systems/laws that promote racism.

@GoodAvatar I'm not sure you really understand what CRT is, look at what Montgomery Co. Maryland is teaching. You said it yourself America has a racist past. That's in the past. The Constitution has some racist phrases, but there are many Ammendments that addresses those issues.

@GoodAvatar Like I said, go investigate Montgomery County Maryland. They are teaching CRT and not in a good way. I do a lot of research and don't rely on YouTube for my factual information. I will agree the war on drugs put predominantly POC in prison for minor drug charges. I hope you actually know who championed that law. I still believe in the death penalty for heinous crimes like serial murderers. As far as the BLM movement and cops, we can agree to disagree. The killing of George Floyd was awful and that cop was tried and convinced. Some of the other recent events I believe were justified. If a person is armed and resting arrest, that police officer has the right to defend themselves and protect other citizens. I'm not against peacefully protesting, but it's a totally different thing when businesses are looted and burned. That's not social justice, it's criminal behavior. I have studied criminal statistics and yes there are more interactions between police and minorities. Yes, sometimes they are more violent. However, there is more going on than clashes between police and minorities. In minority communities black men are killing each other at a higher rate than any other race. Why isn't that issue being addressed by BLM?
