Georgia requires a photo ID that is government issued, such as DL, state ID, passport, military ID etc. It is not suppression to require an ID to vote. Most everyone has an ID and if you don't have one Georgia will provide one for free. Many other states have ID requirements.

A picture or copy is all that is needed. Either by mail or online. When you drop or mail your actual ballot you only need to put your DL/state ID number on the ballot.

  11. @Winning 2021 The new Georgia law fixes the waiting in line issues. It requires that precincts monitor lines. If voters are standing in line more than an hour precincts are required to get more voting machines or more places for people to vote.

  15.  V N  So you think the Georgia website is lying? I'm not sure where you get your information from, but they are the one's who are lying. Within the actual text of the law it lists voter ID as a Georgia DL or state ID. There is an identification subsection (c) Code Section 21-2-417. There is also Section 29 Certification and validation of absentee ballots line 1560. In this section it lists acceptable ID as Georgia DL, state ID, government ID, or the voter's last 4 digits of their Social Security number and date of birth. It also lists acceptable identifying mail such as utility bill or bank statement. This can all be found by Google search Georgia voting law SB 202. This law is also available from the New York Times website in full text form. If you still refuse to believe the full text of the law by reading it with your own eyes, then you are willfully ignorant. There is nothing that even resembles Jim Crow era laws in SB 202.

  16.  V N  I did say the same thing, voter ID is required in the form of DL or state ID. I haven't been fooled. I have read the law. You were the one arguing about acceptable forms of ID. Like I said there is nothing "Jim Crow" about requiring ID. If it was any kind of "Jim Crow " law then it would just be required by minority voter's, but that's not what the law says. It is a requirement of everyone who votes. Other states require ID to vote. Do they have Jim Crow laws too?

  17.  V N  From what I have read the laws were changed to address Georgia voter's concerns. Obviously not everyone is happy, but not everyone was happy before. I agree with you on the gerrymandering ect. those things need to be addressed and fixed.

  18.  @martinrosa7619  Water can be provided by poll workers at self service areas. Drop boxes are at polling places and accessible from 7am - 7pm. Early voting is longer and available on Saturday and Sunday. Other states such a New York have the same laws regarding food and water.
