@chasbodaniels1744 The National Guard was requested a few days before January 6th by ex Capitol police chief Steven Sund. His request was denied. This is clearly laid out in a time-line from the US Capitol Police. My NBC 15 News Trump Administration was ready to deploy National Guard January 6th. Capitol Police time-line June 9th 2022.

@theylied1776 Trump may not have made that call on January 6th but days before Steven Sund did request National Guard troops and the request was denied. Why was that request denied before January 6th? The Capitol Police, the FBI had credible evidence that things could get out of control and they did. So why was Steven Sund's request denied? I have yet to hear anyone explain that or give any answer.
