  1.  @jamiemawer4865  So republicans are running roughshod over the norms. The Supreme Court has had 9 justices for over 100 years. I will agree McConnell should have considered Obama's SC pick. However, why do you think that one instance by republicans gives the democrats the right to pack the court with 4 more justices? The democrats also want to do away with the Electoral College and give DC statehood, both of which violate the Constitution. When Trump wanted to get rid of the filibuster McConnell and other republicans told him no. I don't see Schumer saying they shouldn't get rid of the filibuster. Thankfully Manchin and Kirsten Sinemia have some common sense concerning the filibuster. The filibuster protects minority rights in the Senate and makes both sides compromise, something that is severely lacking in today's society. When the majority changes I bet the democrats would feel differently about getting rid of the filibuster.
