The state department is demanding that their cia asset journalist be released from a Russian prison, however they are mum on asking their "partner" the ukraine to let Lira go free and back to the usa. Then the usa just released 6 billion dollars for iran to release 5 usa citizens. This Lira situation is so strange. There are more questions than answers. Why did Lira stubbornly remained in ukraine after he was caught and released by the SBU? Whybdid he tell the world he is escaping through the hungarian border knowing full well he eas being watched? Why is the state department not intervening to get him back home, a very easy thing to do?
