  8. Well, they thought that the sanctions would take out the Russians. They thought that there would be a regime change in Russia. All of their plans came to nothing. Therefore, if they feel that Russia is weak because Russia is responsible and careful not to escalate outside of ukraine, then again, they will be very surprised at Russia's response to natos provocation.
