What an embarrassment. If kids use social media at home that is between them and their parents and has nothing to do with teaching. If kids are using it at school in a classroom then that is a policy issue with the school either allowing them to use it or not enforcing the policy to not use it. This has nothing to do with the platforms themselves. This is like teachers suing McDonalds or Coke for letting kids (that are not even their own children) get fat.

you should look up the real details about what happened with that lady that sued McDonalds for the hot coffee. I don't remember them all but high level the McDonalds is not supposed to serve beverages over a certain temperature (I think it was even by law not a company policy) but McDonalds continually served it nearly twice the temperature in order to save costs on dumping old coffee and making a new pot. They then served that coffee to the lady with a faulty cup lid. When it spilled on her lap (not drank it) she got third degree burns and had to go to the hospital. She didn't have full coverage (because you know it was the US where healthcare is garbage) so she asked McDonalds to cover her out of pocket expenses (it was something along the lines of a few hundred dollars- maybe low thousands). Instead of trying to work a deal with her (or in most billion $ corps just give her a couple of bucks to go away) they created a smear ad campaign against her that made her look like she wasn't smart enough to know how to drink a cup of coffee. In the end they still settled on a deal that cost them way more than they would have spent if they just gave her a few hundred bucks for her expenses. Again I don't remember the full story but the main point is the lady was actually in the right and McDonalds did everything wrong and tried to cover their error in a smear campaign. Look it up. It is pretty interesting read.

I am guessing you are missing the irony of your comment on YouTube- I am guessing you would also post the same comment if it popped up on your Facebook page
