what would that achieve? You could cut their salary down to zero and it wouldn't be a drop in the ocean compared to the billions of dollars more that the taxpayer would have to come up with to fund an 11% increase in wages.

what does Doug Ford or Lecce's salary have anything to do with this. If CUPE members want to make those salaries then it is a free country they can run for public office or look for other employment with those salary ranges. Every job has its own set of skills that demands the wage. Simple economics. But if you want to argue that Ford and Lecce are overpaid and don't have that skill set then what would cutting their pay achieve? You could cut it to zero and it wouldn't be a drop in the ocean to the billion dollar cost an 11% raise would create for the tax payer. And what does investing $1.2 billion dollars extending highways have anything to do with this. People need roads to travel. If you don't think people need roads not only would that be foolish but people still need to travel or commute so we would still need to invest into some other form of transit like public transit. How do you jump to the conclusion that our education system is crumbling? Canada has one of the best education systems in the world. It could be even better if greedy unions like CUPE and teachers freed up more of that money to be spent on classrooms and the children instead of putting it into their personal pockets. And how do you jump to the unfounded conclusion our health care system is crumbling? We also have some of the best medical schools and hospitals in the world. However "arguing" that point is irrelevant what does it have anything to do with this video?

@mrs.w5145 still too high. I pay enough in taxes and my pay increase wouldn't cover their so get back to work and let me keep my money in my own pocket. Keep your greedy fingers out of my wallet.
