where? sure you can get beer and wine in other places but what if someone prefers liquor? Can't get that anywhere but the LCBO which is why it should be privatized like pretty much every where else in North America.

It isn't necessarily the LCBO that set the high prices. Most of the price of alcohol is taxes. The govt needs to lower taxes (but we all know that will never happen).

then tell the people in those apartments or the landlords to bring in pest control. Why should we the taxpayers pay for it?

@linaF5050 100K is the initial up front investment fee. Once you factor in building a store or converting an existing space, fixtures-cash registers-shelving- fridges etc, inventory etc it costs between $2.5 and $3.5M to open a Circle K. The average person doesn't have 100K to just get their foot in the door and banks don't just hand out a couple of million to anyone walking in their door. I agree you may not need to be a millionaire to start a franchise but it isn't as easy as just walking into Circle K head office with 100K.

would isolated random showers make you happy?

First beer and wine can be purchased from other places. Second why do you care what people buy or spend their money on? Nobody cares when you spend your dildo money.

@UzumakiNaruto_ Ontario is the only place that govt controlled LCBO. You can go to pretty much any other province and the sale of alcohol is privatized and they don't have any different rates in drunk driving etc then Ontario does. Someone that wants liquor or to drink and drive will do it whether they buy it from an LCBO or from a private store. Being govt run has nothing to do with drunk driving. People will do it or not do it no matter where they get alcohol from (and more than likely most drunk driving is at night when bars close and people think they are good to drive home....so the alcohol is coming from bars in a lot of cases not a private or govt controlled store).

@shauncameron8390 you can buy alcohol in any corner store in Quebec....I know I have done it before. There is no LCBOQ stores that you have to go to specifically to buy alcohol.

yeah sure because banning alcohol worked so well during Prohibition right?
