  1. If you cared so much about Scarborough you wouldn't be building a useless three stop subway to nowhere. Instead you could have just swapped the old RT tracks to the new Eglinton LRT tracks and just extended the Eglinton LRT up along the old SRT Route (new LRT ends exactly where the old RT ended would be an easy connection and all the infrastructure that costs the most- stations, track bed, signals etc are all in place along the old RT route...just need to swap the tracks). It would be cheaper, faster and have more stops. Then with the savings you would extend the LRT along the planned route along Eglinton, down Morningside and across Sheppard. If you really cared about Scarborough you would provide proper transit in the form of LRT or proper subway (like extending the Sheppard line to Meadowvale). Bus routes are a band aid solution you use to give yourself a little pat on the back when in reality you haven't done much.

  2. boo hoo. At least you have a street car. Try living out in the suburbs. Takes three hours to get downtown from some parts of Scarborough.
